Bar mitzvahs, weddings, and other functions
Fern has provided music for hundreds of bar mitzvahs, bat mitzvahs, wedding anniversaries, birthdays, and similar functions. The challenge and joy that these experiences give her come from personalizing the musical setting, so that it can be as meaningful as possible for everyone involved.

Couples often tell Fern that the least stressful and most enjoyable part of their wedding planning experience is getting together with her to discuss their wedding music. They come away feeling excited and energized, for they see how the music connects them to the emotional reality of getting married. Fern listens to their needs and ideas and puts music together, drawing from her more than 20 years experience and extensive repertoire. No idea is too corny or too wacky. Well, almost no idea….

Corporate events

Fern is on the preferred vendor’s lists of most of the major hotels and venues in Toronto including the Four Seasons, Sutton Place, Park Hyatt, Royal Meridian King Edward, One King West, Bayview Country Club, B&R Club, Oakdale Country Club, and the Donalda Golf Club.

TESTIMONIALS

We celebrated our daughter’s wedding last year at the Round Room of the Carlu, and the challenge was to find a band appropriate for the venue’s great acoustics and architectural charm. After listening to many bands that forced us to wear ear plugs because of their noise level, the musical treasure we found in Toronto was Fern Lindzon. Fern’s style is both warm and cool, engaging and romantic — the music you admire and want to dance to. She is adept at accommodating to a varied repertoire: cocktail music solo on the piano, traditional tunes for a Jewish wedding according to our specific requests, Latin jazz, romantic and contemporary covering several decades. Not only did she fill the dance floor all night, but we received many compliments from our guests about the high quality of Fern’s musicians and musicianship. Thanks to her perfect pacing, the wedding was a total success. We heartily endorse Fern Lindzon — a class act!

The music was exactly what we hoped it would be. You have a great voice! Your jazz set the romantic, intimate yet energetic tone we wanted for our wedding. Thank you!
– Karen and Itamar

Fern’s terrific! Her innovative and entertaining music appeals to all crowds and ages. She’s a pleasure to work with. A real pro!
– Michael Rosen, Plan It

Fern’s beautiful piano renditions and singing are as essential to the success of the evening as delicious food.
– Sandy and Lionel Waldman

Fern Lindzon Music is an experience of pure pleasure, start to finish. Not only is the music always exquisite, and always appropriate, Fern works with you to deliver the best combination of musicians and format for the event, even as the needs change!
– Irene Berkowitz, Special Events Coordinator, UJA Federation

Fern is a very talented pianist and singer. She was able to use her music to magically transform the mood from formal classical, to fun jazz, to romantic ballads. Her exquisite voice accompanied our wedding celebration perfectly and we couldn’t imagine the day without her.
– Nicole and Gerard

Very many thanks for your beautiful performance at last Sunday’s Informal. We were all very impressed at your virtuosity both as a classical as well as a jazz pianist, and of course, singer!!
– The Associates of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, April 05

As you are aware, the 40th Anniversary fund-raising event in support of VOICE for Hearing Impaired Children was unquestionably a success. I am so appreciative that you agreed to provide us with an amazing trio for our cocktail reception, with you on the piano, Bobby Hsu on Sax and Ashley Summers on Bass, it was incredible. The musical repertoire was carefully and tastefully chosen encompassing not only jazz, but also some samplings from the evening’s performance of Ain’t Misbehavin’ …just a tease to whet the appetite of the theatre patrons….All of you made quite an impact and played a very important part in the success of the event as well as in helping hearing impaired children and their families.
